The Yankees turn to Jay-Z for some inspiration after losing game 1 of the World Series at home to the Philadelphia Phillies. Jay's seen in the photo above sitting alongside actress and main squeeze of Yankees third baseman Alex Rodriguez -- Kate Hudson. Jay who's been seen a lot lately at the new Yankee stadium cheering on the Yankees all postseason long, is one of New York's biggest icons and most well known faces in both the music industry and NY sports.
Before tonight's game he will be performing a track off of his new album "The Blueprint 3" entitled "Empire State of Mind" featuring female artist and song writer Alicia Keys. The song has also been an introduction track for Yankees captain Derek Jeter. As for the pitching match-up, New York's A.J. Burnett will take on Philly's Pedro Martinez. Let the "Who's your daddy" chants begin!
