Throwback Thursday x Brett Favre

Photobucket
It's a no brainer that everyone knows who Brett Favre is. What many people don't know about number 4, is who drafted him in 1991. Everyone thinks Favre was a packer until last season when he signed with the New York Jets. I know this because I too thought he was a Packer his whole career until 2008.

As a Falcon, Favre was given little to no chance to prove himself. Then again, when he did get a chance, he failed to succeed. Brett's first pass in an NFL regular season game resulted in an interception returned for a touchdown. The rest of his stay in Atlanta was no better, as he only attempted 3 other passes, 2 of them being interceptions and no completions.

It was Green Bay's general manager Ron Wolf who decided to give Favre a shot. Favre was then traded to the Packers in 1992 for a 1st round draft pick and the rest is history. The crazy thing is, there's no telling where Favre would be or what he would be doing if it wasn't for Ron Wolf.

& While we're on the subject, congratulations to Brett Favre for becoming the first player in NFL history to defeat all 32 current teams, as he beat his former team on his first try in Minnesota, 30-to-23.
