Biting Off More Than He Can Chew

Photobucket
After last weeks upset loss the Oakland Raiders gave the Philadelphia Eagles at McAfee Stadium, Raiders Defensive end Richard Seymour made a bold statement by saying the Raiders are making the playoffs this season. As soon as I heard those words come out of Seymour's mouth I was expecting the Raiders to duplicate last week's performance and give the New York Jets a run for their money. Instead New York snapped a 3-game losing skid and handed the Raiders their 5th loss of the season, by a score of 38-0. How bad was it? Aside from the lopsided score, Mark Sanchez had enough time to sit on the sideline and eat a hot dog.

If the game's going that bad & there's enough time for the opposing quarterback to kick back and eat a hot dog instead of watch the game, then you know there's something wrong. Sanchez later apologized and said he "wasn't feeling well." I'm sure the veteran Seymour didn't approve of it. & If Seymour plans on living up to his word, his team will have to step it up with a tough remaining schedule. Week 8 @ San Diego, Week 9 BYE, Week 10 vs. Kansas City, Week 11 vs. Cincinnati, Week 12 @ Dallas, Week 13 @ Pittsburgh, Week 14 vs. Washington, Week 15 @ Denver, Week 16 @ Cleveland, & Week 17 vs. Baltimore.

Here's the video of Sanchez eating the hot dog:
