Bush Whacked x Warner's Future

Similar to the Minnesota Vikings, the #1 seeded New Orleans Saints had a lot to prove on Sunday, as they were coming off of a BYE the previous week. Their opponent however --The Arizona Cardinals were coming off of an offensive showdown in which they beat the Green Bay Packers 51-45. The Saints on the other hand, would have little to no trouble facing that same Cardinal team as they demolished the red birds by a score of 45-14. Much thanks came from the running game of RB Reggie Bush. The former 2005 Heisman Trophy winner showed shades of his days at USC when he and Matt Lienart led the Trojans to a BCS tittle in 2005. Bush finished the game with 84 yards on the ground and a touchdown on only 5 carries. The speedy Bush showed he still has the moves he used in College to juke players out of their jockstraps by dodging defenders in the second quarter with a 46-yard touchdown run. Bush wasn't done there. Just a quarter later, Bush would show just how deadly he can be when returning the ball as well, as he ran a punt back 83 yards for a touchdown, putting the game well out of reach.

The question now being asked is can he duplicate Sunday's performance and put up the same numbers this week when the Saints host Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings? With the potent air attack from QB Drew Brees usually all the offense the Saints need, the team can be almost unstoppable if Bush can continue to put up big numbers. & If he did, the match-up between him and Vikings RB Adrian Peterson would be a match made in heaven. Switching gears onto the Cardinals side, many are beginning to wonder 'could we have seen Kurt Warner's final game?' The veteran QB has flirted with retirement in the past, but could this season truly be his last? The 38 year old Warner took some hard hits and finished the day with 205 yards and 1 interception on 17 for 26 passing.
